Scheme leaver details
Scheme leavers (members)
The information in this section is asked for on a voluntary basis for this year while we test a new set of questions.
Please provide the total number of members who have left the scheme in the 12-month period leading up to the date at which the most recent membership information has been provided. Please then separate this into the following categories:
- Members who left the scheme to access their benefits (decumulation) without using a partnership arrangement. A partnership arrangement is a formal arrangement (that goes beyond simply referring members) between the scheme and another scheme or another pension provider, in order to provide access to decumulation product(s) to their members.
You should include all scheme members who are taking decumulation benefits outside of a trust-based pension scheme with a third party. - Members who left the scheme to access their benefits (decumulation) using a partnership arrangement. You should include all scheme members whose money has been transferred to another pension scheme to provide their decumulation benefits. If scheme members have their benefits provided by the scheme, please do not include them here, but rather include them as pensioner members in the scheme. - Members who transferred to a master trust due to the scheme winding up or considering winding up – to include all members who have transferred their assets to a master trust scheme. This type of transfer is initiated by the scheme. Please do not include here any members who have taken short service refunds.
- Member-initiated transfers to another pension scheme or provider – to include all members who have initiated a transfer to another workplace pension scheme as an active or deferred member. A common reason for this would be a member consolidating their pots.
- Members leaving the scheme for another reason - to include all members who have left the scheme within the last year for some reason other than retirement or transferring to another trust-based scheme.
This could include:
• members who have short service refunds
• members who have died, including retired members who have died
